New launch means new interview! Today, Atoclassic cosmetics are in our spotlight. During my last visit to Seoul, I had a chance to find out more about the brand and its amazing products.
The history of Atoclassic cosmetics
Atoclassic cosmetics are unique compared to other Korean skincare brands. I read about the history of the WOOBO clinics and the successful results in healing different skin conditions. Let’s start then with a little bit of history. How long has it been since you started the company and launched the brand?
WOOBO has been around since 1997. ATOCLASSIC was developed from treatments in those WOOBO clinics.
What were your reasons for and philosophy on launching the cosmetics?
Patients at those clinics couldn’t use regular skin care products due to harsh ingredients. They needed a special very mild formula to keep their skin moisturized and hydrated, protecting from both the environmental hazard and internal stress.
Struggling with very sensitive skin, I know how hard it is to find products that will not create an inflammation. What is the most important feature of your cosmetics?
To promote the overall health of skin – to bring out its natural youth and beauty.
How does Atoclassic differ from Western brands?
It is heavily plant-based.
What was the one memorable moment in creating this brand that you are proud of?
When we received feedback from our customers how the products have reduced their skin sensitivities.
What is/ are the biggest skin concern/ s nowadays that K-beauty is focusing on (eg. pollution, premature ageing, adult acne)?
ATOCLASSIC products are natural antioxidants without irritating skin. Antioxidant means antiaging as well since it keeps skin cells healthier and younger. It helps boost skin’s natural collagen formation.
How long does it usually take to see the results and benefits of the cosmetics?
It all depends on one’s skin condition. Some see immediate improvements (especially if they were suffering from external hazards) and some take 2 weeks if their skin condition comes from internal stress.
ATOCLASSIC products enhance overall skin condition both internally and externally.
In which direction is the company/ brand going? What are your plans for next 3-5 years?
We want to focus on helping people achieve their skin goals instead of focus on expanding with fancy stores. The cost of manufacturing is too high for those big retailers anyway.
Do you have some spoiler alert for us? What are the new products we can expect? What will be their purpose?
Sunscreen in the other half of the year.
