Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (Berry)

I always wanted to try Laneige lip mask. And I finally did. And I’m so happy with it. I use it every night before o go to sleep and sometimes during the day. And I wake up with very soft moisturised lips. Love it. It has gel texture and I even use on my toddler lips overnight and he don’t mind it too. Very happy and it lasts very very long - months.

Absolutely fantastic!!! I don't tend to rate lip exfoliators or masks, as they make my lips dry throughout the day if I forget lip balm (which is often) but this one kept my lips super hydrated, and so soft, even after hours if not wearing lip balm, I left it on over night for one night when my lips were chapped beyond easy repair, and then in the morning, just had to wipe the mask off and my lips were soft as!! I've heard a lot of controversial opinions on this product, but it definitely works for me!!

After using this for a few weeks, I can say it doesn't do anything more for my winter chapped lips than just putting shea butter on them overnight. I've happily gone back to unscented shea butter. Won't buy this again. I have it on my desk to use as a thick winter lip balm instead, and it does feel moisturising (definitely doesn't feel exfoliating though). I was also slightly worried I'd lose the spatula, so I've cut the end of the handle off, so it can sit inside the inner lid.

I was so excited to finally try this lip balm as it's so popular and so much hype around it. My lips get super dry over winter so wanted something to eliminate that. Unfortunately this sleeping mask has not worked for me at all. No change to dryness after nightly use for a week. I slather it on before bed and wake up with usual cracked lips :(. So I am now using this as a general lipbalm as I don't want to waste it.

I used to just use vaseline on my lips before bed but would often wake up to all the vaseline fully absorbed into my lips and gone. I didn't want to believe the hype on this but thought I'd give it a go and it's incredible. There's a lot in the pot and it's thick and hydrating when applied to the lips (can barely talk after putting it on though haha). In the morning it still keeps that occlusive layer locking in all the moisture and I just wipe away the excess with a muslin cloth when cleansing my face in the morning. I don't use it every night but it's perfect to prep my lips for a special day.
